Al Wakrah coach Vicente Moreno spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 19 match against Al Rayyan.

“Naturally, our objective in this match is to return to winning ways and secure the three points. The team has prepared thoroughly over the past few days and we know we will face a tough challenge against a strong team with outstanding players in every position.

“This match demands the highest levels of focus and discipline throughout the entire game.

“I have great confidence in all the players, especially since everyone understands the importance of this stage of the season. We have pledged to exert every possible effort to compensate for our recent loss against Al Shamal,” said Moreno.

Al Wakrah player Asim Madibo said, The upcoming match against Al Rayyan is important for the team, particularly given our desire to appease the fans and quickly return to winning ways.
