Al Gharafa coach Pedro Martins spoke to the media ahead of their 2025-2026 Doha Bank Stars League Week 15 match against Al Sailiya.
“We will continue working as required to come back stronger and more resilient.
“After the recovery period, we began preparing for the match. All the players are in good shape and determined to give a positive response. They are working hard to regain their physical fitness. The team is still in the competition and working hard to win the title. Al Sailiya have a good coach who is doing an excellent job and we must be at our highest level of concentration.
“Not everyone was happy after the last match. Everyone saw the game and how we fought for every ball on the field and gave our all. I cannot blame the players. The only criticism is that we lacked focus in the first five minutes of second half. After that, we played a very good match and tried to win, but it did not happen. We are here and we will continue working,” said Martins.
Al Gharafa player Rabeh Boussafi said, “The players’ preparations for the Al Sailiya match are like any other match. There is no easy match and all clubs have good players.
“Al Sailiya are a good team with a good defence, but our goal is to make amends and win the three points.”
