Al Ahli staged a spirited second-half comeback to hold hosts Al Arabi to a 2-2 draw in an entertaining Week 9 match of 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League at Al Thumama Stadium on Friday.

Al Arabi appeared to be cruising towards victory after taking a commanding two-goal lead before the break.

Issa Laye opened the scoring in the 43rd minute before Isaac Lihadji doubled the advantage in first-half stoppage time, putting Al Arabi firmly in control.

However, Al Ahli produced a remarkable response after the restart, with Erik Exposito scoring twice in quick succession to restore parity.

The Spanish forward pulled one back in the 59th minute before striking again just two minutes later to complete his brace and bring Al Ahli level at 2-2.

The result saw Al Arabi move to 14 points, while Al Ahli are now on 12 points.
