Al Rayyan bounced back to winning ways as they beat Al Wakrah 2-0 in the concluding Week 8 clash of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Stadium on Sunday, October 26, 2025.

Rodrigo Moreno (36th minute) and Roger Guedes (81st minute) scored for The Lions.

It was a tight-fisted game with both teams battling hard. Al Wakrah were unlucky in the 33rd minute when a Gerard Sancho kick ricocheted off the top of right post.

Three minutes later, Rodrigo scored for Al Rayyan by deflecting in a fine Tiago Rafael Da Silva assist from the left.

Deep in the second half, Guedes latched on to a defensive lapse at top of the box and went on to score after Al Wakrah keeper Saoud Al Khater had rolled out the ball to a teammate. The error cost dear.

The win took Al Rayyan’s tally to 13 points, while Al Wakrah slipped stood on 11 points.
