Al Sadd returned to winning ways with a 4-0 win over Al Shahania in Week 7 of 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Khalifa International Stadium on Thursday.

The mercurial Akram Afif scored a brace striking in the 21st and 51st minutes, while Roberto Firmino (28th minute) and Mostafa Meshal (70th minute) added a goal each to the tally.

Much as expected, the defending champions were on attacking mode and Afif opened the scoring picking on a Giovani Henrique pass to go on and beat a defender and goalkeeper alike.

Seven minutes later, Giovani made a fine back pass inside the ‘D’ for a waiting Firmino to deposit the ball into the bottom left corner.

Afif returned to strike the third goal early in second session, while Meshal made the most of a rebound from a goalkeeper block to make it 4-0 for Al Sadd.

The result took Al Sadd’s tally to 15 points, while Al Shahania remained on seven points.
