Spaniard Luis Alberto struck a brace as Al Wakrah beat Al Sailiya 3-1 in Week 22 of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Al Thumama Stadium on Monday.

Alberto found the target in the eighth and 86th minutes of the match, while Amine Zahzouh scored in the 45+8 minute for Al Wakrah.

Al Sailiya’s only goal of the game came from Youssef Snana (66th minute).

The result meant that Al Wakrah finished in eighth in the standings with a tally of 27 points, while Al Sailiya ended in 10th with 22 points.

Al Wakrah opened scoring in fine fashion as Alberto heeled in a fine Lucas Mendes assist into the right top corner of the net.

The lead was doubled in added time of first half with Zouhzouh connecting with a header to deflect in a long Yusuf Abdurisag kick from about five yards outside the box on the right.

Al Sailiya hit back post break winning a battle inside the ‘D’ as Snana, after combining with Younes Belhanda, managed to beat the rival goalkeeper (1-2).

Al Sailiya’s hopes of finding an equalizer were dealt with a blow towards the end as Alberto returned to slot home after being set up perfectly by Zouhzouh inside the box.
