Al Arabi and Qatar SC played out a hard-fought 1-1 draw in a high-stakes Week 21 clash of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Al Thumama Stadium on Wednesday.
Al Arabi took the lead in the 32nd minute when Karl Toko Ekambi capitalised on a defence-splitting pass from Ahmed Fathi, calmly slotting the ball past the onrushing goalkeeper Ali Mahmoud.
Despite both sides pushing forward, the score remained unchanged until the second half. Qatar SC restored parity in the 78th minute through a clinical header by Joao Pedro, who converted the rebound after Abdulrasheed Umaru’s initial header struck the upright, following an overhead cross from Raoul Sanda.
Both teams, who are level on points with 32 each, had chances to snatch a winner in the closing stages, but solid defending ensured the points were shared.
The draw left both sides with work to do as the league season approaches its decisive phase.
