Al Sadd powered past Qatar SC 6-2 for their second successive win, in Week 2 of 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Ahmad Bin Ali Stadium on Friday.

Scoring the goals for the defending champions were Paulo Otavio (15th and 23rd minutes), Yusuf Abdurisag (29th minute), Roberto Firmino (71st minute), Claudinho (85th minute) and Akram Afif (90+2 minute), while Joao Pedro (60th minute penalty) and Pau Prim (82nd minute) scored for Qatar SC.

Al Sadd began with a flourish as Otavio scored an early brace, first driving home an Afif assist from inside the box and later deflecting in a perfect Pedro Miguel cross from the right.

The onslaught continued as Abdurisag drilled home another Afif assist from near the six-yard box.

Qatar SC emerged with a more organized defence in the second half and even challenged the rivals. Their efforts won them a penalty as Claudinho back tackled Qatar SC’s Mohamed Amine and the referee immediately called for the spot kick, and Joao Pedro scored.

Al Sadd hit back with Firmino collecting an Hashim Ali cross and doing a roulette before striking (4-1).

Qatar SC then gained their second goal as Pau Prim overlapped a defender inside the box to strike diagonally into the net (2-4).

Al Sadd, however, continued assertion, with Claudinho flicking in a Younes El Hannach cross and Afif leaving a defender and rival goalkeeper shocked to make it 6-2.
