A late Oumar Sekou strike secured a 1-1 draw for Al Ahli against Al Arabi in Week 18 of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Al Thumama Stadium on Friday.

Sekou struck with a powerful kick after an Eslam Yassein effort had ricocheted from the crossbar in the 86th minute of the match.

Earlier, Al Arabi were put into the lead in 45+2 minute by Rodri Sanchez, who flicked the ball over an advancing goalkeeper from a difficult angle on the left.

Al Ahli’s late hopes of a win evaporated when a penalty call in the 89th minute was ruled out following a VAR decision.

The shared spoils took Al Ahli’s tally to 16 points while still being in the 11th place in the standings and Al Arabi moved to 25 with an added point to stay sixth in the table.
