Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri spoke to the media ahead of their 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League Week 13 match against Al Markhiya.

“We hope to achieve a positive result, especially since the opponents are not an easy team. They are a team with great potential and we must be focused and play every match with focus and the same determination and persistence that characterizes our team that played a great match in the last round against Al Arabi. I thank the players for their performance as well as the club's fans who have shown great support to the team in all matches.

“On Ben Malango’s injury, I would say he has been a great addition to the team, and the efforts of his colleagues contributed to his appearance at good levels. Of course, his injury has saddened us but at the same time we have some distinguished young players who can play in the same position and who will have a role in replacing him.

“Our motto at the beginning of each training session is to strive to provide the best and this is what we see on the ground as everyone - the fans, management, players, coaches and all members of the team's family are doing their best this season and we are determined to continue the journey at the same pace,” said Safri.

Qatar SC player Jassim Al Jalabi said, “I congratulate my colleagues on their performance and the result in our match against Al Arabi. We always look forward to providing the best. Our next clash against Al Markhiya will also be important since there are no easy matches, and everyone is ready.

“I was saddened by Malango's injury but we will be ready under all circumstances that we face. We have worked positively thanks to the efforts of the players, the administrative and technical staff, and the support of the loyal fans. The match against Al Markhiya, and in general the next stage, requires us to work more and focus to achieve positive results.”
