The Disciplinary Committee of Qatar Football Association, after reviewing Al Shamal club’s protest letter No. 394/2026 dated April 14, 2026, concerning the participation of a Qatar SC player in the match between Qatar SC and Al Shamal in Week 17 postponed match of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League played on April 13, 2026, has decided the following:
1. The protest submitted by Al Shamal club is accepted.
2. Qatar SC forfeit the match with a score of 3-0 and are fined (10,000) Qatari riyals only.
This is based on Article (2/First/15) of the Players’ Status Regulations for the 2025-2026 sports season, which stipulates that if one of the six foreign professional players on the field receives a red card, one of the five Qatari/resident players on the field cannot be substituted for the foreign professional player and the team must continue the match with its five foreign professional players.
Article (1/61/b) stipulates that a club will be penalized with a forfeit and fine not exceeding one hundred thousand (100,000) Qatari riyals if it commits any violation of participation regulations stipulated in QFA’s regulations during any match.
