Al Ahli face Qatar SC in a postponed match from Week 10 of the 2022-2023 season QNB Stars League at the Al Ahli Stadium on Monday. The kick-off is at 17:00.

Both teams aspire to overtake the other, given the slender points difference between them.

Al Ahli are currently seventh in the standings with 21 points, and the team have had some good results in the last two weeks (they beat Al Sadd 2-1 and tied against Al Gharafa 1-1).

On the other hand, Qatar SC are sixth with 23 points, on goal difference from the fourth and fifth-placed Al Wakrah and Al Gharafah respectively.

Qatar SC will be eager to bounce back after having lost their last two matches against Al Sadd and Al Shamal.

Qatar SC coach Youssef Safri will choose the optimal squad for the important game for his team, which has a number of distinguished players including Sebastian Soria, Iraqi Bashar Resan, Spaniard Javi Martinez, Argentinian Javi Pastore, Moroccan Badr Benoun and others.

Al Ahli coach Nebojsa Jovovic will seek out ways to achieve a positive result for his side to rise into the top four, which separates the team by only two points. He will therefore push his players to overcome Qatar SC and gain the three valuable points.

Al Ahli will rely more on the attacking trio of Oumar Sekou, Abdulrasheed Ibrahim and Jordanian Yazan Al Naimat, while their Algerian attacking midfielder Sofiane Hanni will be absent after being sent off in the last match against Al Gharafa.
