Al Ahli advanced to the semifinals of 2025-2026 season AFC Champions League Two with a 3-1 victory over Al Hussein of Jordan at the Zabeel Stadium in Dubai on Sunday, inspired by a brilliant goal from Julian Draxler.

Erik Exposito gave Al Ahli a flying start with a second-minute header, but Yousef Qashi equalised in the 21st minute after capitalising on a rebound.

The turning point came in the 65th minute when Draxler curled a sensational corner directly into the net, catching the goalkeeper off guard to restore Al Ahli’s lead.

Al Hussein pushed for another equaliser, but Al Ahli held firm before sealing the win in stoppage time. Michel Vlap converted a late penalty to secure the result.

The victory sets up a semifinal clash against Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia on Wednesday, with the winner to face Gamba Osaka in next month’s final.
