El Jaish are set to be without key midfielder Magid Mohammed for the rest of the 2016/2017 season after rupturing his cruciate ligament in their recent 1-0 win over Al Ahli.

The club took to social media on Saturday to confirm the news, and it is likely that the Qatar international winger will be out for the remainder of the season. Mohammed now joins a growing injury list at the current QSL league leaders who have been without Abdulgadir Ilyas, Seydou Keita, Khalid Abdulraouf and Dame Traoré in the last few weeks.

Head coach Sabri Lamouchi will be hoping some of his key players will be available for selection ahead of their crunch round ten match against rivals Lekhwiya in round ten.
