Match kick-off at 18:00 on Sat, 7th at the Abdulla bin Khalifa stadium

Lekhwiya assistant coach Albert Fernandez:
“We have many games lined up in a short period of time. All games are very important for us. More now, than before. We got the crucial victory against Sadd and now it's up to us to win all matches and get the title. We know the teams that we have to play and we have to win all those matches.”

“We know that Kharaitiyat are in a good shape now. They won the best player and best coach of the month. So it will be very difficult for us.”

“When you are playing too many games, it will affect the team. But it's also true that our players know the importance of every game that we are playing. They are professional players, so we shouldn't focus too much on the number of games we are playing. We need to switch our mentality from the Asian Champions League back to the QSL and switch back when needed.”

“Mohamed Musa will miss the game because of four yellow cards.”

Player Mohamed Hatmi
“Kharaitiyat had a very good game against Arabi. Arabi ended up looking for the draw in the end. The game will be tough for both teams. We have to respect them because we know that they are in good shape right now and have had a good run of results. We hope that we will be able to collect three points.”

Kharaitiyat coach Amar Osim
“It's a very nice test for us. We have done a good job in the last couple of rounds. But this game is going to be special because we play against a team that is going to be much better as compared to the teams that we have played before. And I am curious to see how we perform against a team of their caliber.”

“I don't have the answer as to how we will perform against Lekhwiya. The difference in quality is big between Lekhwiya, Sadd and the other clubs. We have shown that we can do well against good teams but against excellent teams we will have to see.”

“I don't think we did anything special to get these positive results. We just trained and kept training. We got a few good results and with better results it's easy for the coach to work with the team. And then the results continued to get better and it got easier for me to work with the team. And that has given us confidence, the players trust each other. I suppose that every team in the world gets bad results for the same reason. We also got that bit of good luck that we needed. And now we have the confidence. And confidence is a huge thing in football.”

“If a team plays the champions league, it means that they are a top team. It means that they have the quality to play multiple competitions. They are used to it - that's why they are champions.”

“We haven't achieved our goal. Our goal was to come into the safe zone. And we still have to collect a couple more points to be safe. After that, if we will have a chance to get into a better position in the table.”

Kharaitiyat striker and player of the month of February - Hassan Abdul Fattah:
“We will play the league leaders and we are 100 per cent motivated for this game. They are also playing in the Asian Champions League. So they have divided their concentration and energies, which might help us. Our target is to continue producing good results which we have shown in our recent matches.”
