The 2011/2012 season the sides drew on both occasions. The first leg tie ended in a 1-1 draw and goals scored by Abdel Aziz Al Sulaiti for Al Arabi and Saoud Al Ghanem for Umm Salal. Whilst he second leg match ended in a goalless draw.
During the 2012/2013 season, Umm Salal won both matches against Al Arabi. In the first leg Umm Salal defeated Al Arabi 3-1 goals from Said Bu Taher, Mohamed Yasser and Maher Youssef gave the Orange Fortress all three points whilst Nasser Khalfan scored a consolation for Al Arabi.

During the 2013/2014 season, houours where even, as Umm Salal won the first leg fixture by one goal while Al Arabi won the second leg fixture 3-2.
Last year Umm Salal succeeded in winning the first leg match 1-0 thanks to an Abdel Qader Elias goal. In the second leg the teams both teams drew 0-0.It promises to be a interesting tie when Umm Salal face Al Arabi at the Jassim Bin Hamad stadium on Saturday the 4th of Decemeber, Kick-off at 18:30pm.
