Kick-off time: 19:00 at the Soud bin Abdelrahman stadium (Al Wakrah)

Al Sailiya head coach Sami Trabelsi attended the pre-match press conference for the rescheduled round 2 fixture at Al Sadd stadium this morning. Trabelsi said, “The game will be tough and we have to respect the opponent in order to win.”

He added, “In this league there are no small or big teams, just tough games, but if we show discipline and a positive attitude then we will have a god chance to pull away from the bottom of the table.”

Trabelsi also spoke about the previous game and mentioned that his side are in high spirits after beating Al Wakrah (4-3).

He promised to get the best out of his players and said that they go into the game almost at full strength, with the only exception being the goalkeeper Gomes, who was injured in the last match against Al Wakrah.

For his part, Peregrines player Osman Aqub said, “The game will be very difficult, but we will endeavour to provide our best and try to achieve our second win in a row. I hope that we show our true potential and succeed in getting all three points so as to rectify the situation and start to move up the table.”

Al Shahania head coach Jose Fernando said that his team will go into the game looking to win and that this game represents an opportunity to get three important points from a team who is also struggling.

He added, “Our problem is that we have lost many points because of simple mistakes that led to losses. We know this is our biggest problem and are working to remedy the issue."

Al Shahania player Abdullah Ali was also at the press conference and said, “All the players have the desire to do well and collect the three points which is really a six pointer in my view."

Ali added, “Now the team is starting to gain the necessary experience in the Qatar Stars League and I think that this will help to improve our performances and results.”
