Top QNB Stars League side Al Sadd hope midfielders Jugurtha Hamroun and Boualem Khoukhi will be ready to take the field when they host Iranian champions Persepolis in the second round of AFC Champions League on Tuesday. The kick-off is at 18:30 Doha time.

Both players are being given special training to assist in their recovery from injuries.

Algerian Hamroun sat out during The Wolves’ 5-1 defeat of Al Arabi in Week 17 of the QNB Stars League, which was dubbed the Qatar Derby, while Khoukhi had been nursing an injury for quite some time.

Al Sadd had beaten Dubai side Al Wasl 2-1 in the opening round, with Algerian striker Baghdad Bounedjah scoring both their goals.

Uzbekistan’s Nasaf are the other team in Group C.
