Al Wakrah coach Jose Sierra spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 5 match against Al Gharafa.

“Recent preparations were not limited to the upcoming clash with Al Gharafa; they also encompassed preparations for the remaining league matches in general.

“The break was long and we tried to utilize the QSL Cup matches to give opportunities to players who had not been featuring regularly in the league,” said Jose Sierra.

Al Wakrah player Ayoub Assal said, “I have great confidence in the team’s ability to overcome the Al Gharafa challenge in the fifth round of Doha Bank Stars League.

“Al Gharafa are a good team with quality players, but we also have a strong squad and are giving our all to secure the win.”
