Al Shahania take on Al Ahli in round 23 of the QSL. The match will be played at the Al Arabi Stadium on Friday. Both coaches spoke to the media ahead of the game at a press conference on Thursday.
Al Shahania head coach Igor Stimac assured that the difficulty level will be high in the upcoming match versus Al Ahli in Round 23 of the QSL.

He said during the pre-match press conference, “The league is progressing rapidly with no margin for compensation as we are approaching the end. We have no other option but to be in fully prepared and present the best possible performance ... We are now preparing for Al Ahli, which is a strong team with quality players capable of defeating any team. Our ambition for the game is as the same as Al Ahli.”

The Croatian Tactician added, “All matches have huge importance for us. The good thing is the fact that we are still hanging and our confidence is not shaken, the team lost several matches which we could have won. We will fight till the very end.”

Stimac continued, “If we defeated Al Ahli it will mean a lot for us. We have lost the taste of victory. We are using one important weapon which is the team play and the fighting spirit. We can beat any team if we played well.”

On the other hand, Al Ahli head coach Youssef Adam stated: “I believe that our responsibilities are growing. We still have confidence in the team hoping that the coming game will get us back to victories.”

He added, “I trust my team and we have to be fully focused during the whole 90 minutes especially in front of the opponents’ goal area. We have lost valuable goal-scoring opportunities in the previous game.”



Adam concluded, “I am the only Qatari head coach in the QSL which is a huge responsibility especially since Al Ahli is a big name in the Qatari football. I am not afraid and I think Al Ahli can reach the sixth position if we played with concentration.”
