Qatar National Under-23 team claimed their first victory in 2026-2027 season Jetour League with a 2-1 win over Muaither in a Week 4 encounter at the Al Khor Stadium on Thursday.

All three goals came through penalties.

The match remained goalless until Ali Shehabi broke the deadlock in the 53rd minute, finishing to hand Qatar Natl U-23 Team the lead and settle the nerves after a cagey opening period.

Yaman Jarrar then doubled the advantage in the 69th minute, putting the side in firm control and leaving Muaither with a mountain to climb.

Muaither refused to surrender, however. Abdellah Raihani pulled one back in the 78th minute, sparking a spirited late push and setting up a tense finish.

The result is a valuable boost for Qatar Natl U-23 Team who moved to ninth position in the standings with five points, while Muaither remained on six points and are in seventh position.
