Lekhwiya’s Qatari attacker Almoez Ali has enjoyed a fine breakout season with the Red Knights this campaign, with his efforts rightly deserving a nomination at the QFA awards for the best U23 player.  Ahead of the big event on May 20<sup>th</sup> QSL online will be profiling all the nominees and their achievements over the course of the 2016/2017 QSL season.  All of our stats have been provided by STATS. <br />

The 21 year old attacker has represented Lekhwiya a total of 25 times this season, and went on to lift their fifth ever QSL falcon shield in the process. Utilized on the wing, or even in a striking role Ali has made a big impact for the Red Knights scoring 8 goals, and providing 8 assists for his team-mates.<br />

The Qatar U23 international has been called up by the full national team on a number of occasions this season, and has even made a few substitute appearances. Ali’s passing stats are some of the best for a player his age in the QSL, with a 80.5% accuracy average. Whilst A 49% shooting accuracy is another encouraging statistic from the youngster who represented Qatar at the 2014 U-19 Asian cup in Myanmar, which the Maroons won.<br />

Ali has bags of pace, and the youngster clocks up an average of 6.9km per game along with 231m of sprinting one of the higest in the QSL. So after a breakout season can Ali scoop the coveted best U23 player at the QFA awards? All will be revealed on May the 20<sup>th</sup> at the QNCC.
