Akram Afif scored a hat-trick, besides providing an assist, as Al Sadd thrashed Al Shahania 4-0 in Week 15 of 2025-2026 season Doha Bank Stars League at the Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Thursday.

The win saw defending champions Al Sadd move to the top with a tally of 32 points, one point clear of Al Gharafa, while Al Shahania remained on 11 points.

Afif scored in the 14th (penalty), 50th and 83rd minutes, while Claudinho scored in 73rd minute.

Al Sadd were awarded the spot kick after a charging Paulo Silva was brought down inside the box and Afif converted the penalty kick.

Al Sadd again hit soon after the start of second half as unmarked Afif essayed his second goal from the left. Claudinho then romped home a left-footer on an Afif assist.

Afif completed his hat-trick after making a sprint and beat a defender and the rival goalkeeper alike.
