Al Shahaniya Sports Club chairman, Menahi Al Shammari in coordination with the coaching staff, led by the Spanish coach Miguel Lotina have established a training camp in Germany as they prepare for the 2016/2017 football season. Shahaniya return to the Qatar Stars League for the second time in their history.<br />

The camp will be focused on technical and physical training, along with a number of friendly matches as announced by Menahi Al Shammari, chairman of Al Shahaniya Sports Club.<br />

The coaching staff in coordination with the club's management will determine the exact dates of the training camp in the coming days. Their also might be a possibility that the club will strengthen their side by acquiring some new players over the summer.<br />

Shahaniya qualified for the Qatar Stars League in 2014/2015 season for the first time in their history. After their relegation, they secured a return to the QSL after gaining promotion during the 2015/2016 season of the Qatargas League.
