QSL side Umm Salal have formally announced that Ivorian striker Yannick Sagbo has signed a two year contact extension with the club. The contact was signed in the presence of Umm Salal president Sheikh Hamad Bin Nasser Al Thani. 

Umm Salal confirmed the news on Friday evening via their social media accounts. Sagbo's contact was set to finish at the end of the season. The new deal will see the former Hull City striker stay with the club till the end of the 2018/2019 QSL season. 

The news will be a major boost for Egytian coach Mahmoud Jaber, who has been relying on the goals of Sagbo over the course of the season.
