Al Khor head coach Jean Fernandez said that coming match versus Al Arabi in Round 23 of the QSL is very important and they must gain the three points.
He assured during the pre-match press conference that he worked very hard to reach full match readiness with the players. He is confident that they will return to the positive results indicating that Al Arabi is a big team as they came up with a valuable win in the previous round.
The Frenchman added, “We are doing our best both technically and physically in order to avoid this situation and survive relegation. Al Khor is suffering from a limited number of players with no alternatives. As for the professional players, they are the best especially Mohsin Iagor."
Commenting on the fact that Al Arabi is their last chance, he reflected: “This is news for the media people with all due respect to them, I don’t believe this will happen.”
Al Arabi head coach, Oswaldo Oliviera said that there is no doubt about the toughness of the coming game versus Al Khor, taking into consideration that the latter is looking to avoid relegation. Also, Al Arabi needs the victory to be in safe zone. All the coming games are increasingly difficult.
The Brazilian added, “I felt joy for the victory we achieved over Al Wakra, however this happiness is not enough as the team should be in a better position, which we are working on.”
Commenting on the league break after this Round, he reflected, “This stoppage has two sides which could hold positive or negative impact on the team. For example, the lack of matches is negative matter, however the hard work during training sessions is yet another positive point.”
