Sunday will see three matches being played in the QSL. The focus will be on Lekhwiya who face Al Khor. The defending champions are experiencing a slump, having gone for five matches without a win and are currently languishing in eighth place in the table.

Khor meanwhile registered their first win this season when they beat Qatar SC and will be looking to take advantage of the Lekhwiya’s loss of form.

In the other early match, Al Kharaitiyat will take on Al Sadd. Sadd carved out a 1-0 win over Gharafa in the last round and will be looking to take advantage of Kharaitiyat’s porous defence which has conceded 19 goals so far. They are joint-worst with Mesaimeer in this department. After their 2-1 loss to Arabi, this will be another tough encounter for Kharaitiyat.

The late match of the day will be between Qatar Sports Club and Al Rayyan. Qatar SC are enduring a nightmare start to their season.

With Sebastião Lazaroni back with the Kings, they finally got their first win against Mesaimeer but then lost their next match to Al Khor. Just four points from eight matches will be a huge worry for a team that finished a commendable fourth last season.

Considering that they will be playing Al Rayyan who – are yet to lose this season, and have scored more goals than any other team with 25, the Kings will have an uphill battle today.
