<p>Al Shahania finished their campaign on a high as they leapfrogged Al Gharafa in the QNB Stars League table, thanks to a 3-0 victory over their rivals in a Week 22 action at the Al Gharafa Stadium on Saturday.</p><p>Al Shahania's goals were scored by Kesse Amangoua in the 16th minute, and Ramin Rezaeian in the 27th and 90+1 minutes.</p><p>Mehdi Taremi netted Al Gharafa's lone goal in the 59th minute by converting a penalty.</p><p>Amangoua opened the scoring as he powered through the Al Gharafa defence before rounding the keeper and scoring via an unfortunate deflection from Diogo Amado.</p><p>With Al Shahania in the ascendency, they were able to double their lead on the counter-attack when Amangoua raced through the midfield before supplying a wonderful through ball for Ramin to slot home.</p><p>Prior to the break, the two-goal cushion was nearly increased, but Luciano Vazquez saw his shot fly marginally over.</p><p>The home side was in control of the match. However, Al Gharafa were given a lifeline as Rebin Adhemat was adjudged to have handled a shot from Ahmed Abdimotaal in the area. Mehdi Taremi saw his spot kick saved, but VAR demanded a re-take with the keeper encroaching too early and Taremi made no mistake the second time.</p><p>Searching for an equaliser, Al Gharafa were undone in second-half stoppage time as Ramin raced clear and lashed the ball past the outstretched fingers of Yousef Ali to seal all three points for Al Shahania.</p>
