Al Sadd’s midfield maestro Xavi has been one of the Wolves most consistent players this campaign and a host of impressive performances has saw the club captain picking up a for the prestigious QFA player of the year award.  Ahead of the big event on May 20^th QSL online will be profiling all the nominees and their achievements over the course of the 2016/2017 QSL season.  All of our statistics have been provided by the QSL’S official statistical partner STATS.

Unsurprisingly the Spaniards passing stats are some of the best in the QSL, with an 89.2% passing accuracy average. Xavi’s passing often sets the tone for Al Sadd, so it’s understandable that he racks up an average of 75.4 passes per game, one of the highest figures in the league.  Whilst Xavi’s mobility has been crucial in Sadd’s attacking play, with the veteran covering an impressive 11.4km per game.
 
Xavi could be set for a domestic trophy double with Al Sadd in the Emir Cup final, but can the Wolves captain walk away with the coveted player of the year award at the QFA awards? All will be revealed on Saturday the 20^{th of} May at the QNCC.
