Al Sadd coach Razvan Lucescu spoke to the media ahead of their 2026-2027 season Doha Bank Stars League Week 3 match against Al Gharafa.

“We are playing another match just three days after our Qatar Cup semifinal, but the team and the players are ready to take on the challenge and achieve victory.

“Al Sadd’s objective at this stage is clear: to win and continue the journey in the league. The upcoming match will be completely different from our recent Qatar Cup encounter with Al Gharafa,” said Lucescu.

Al Sadd captain Hassan Al Haydous said, “We are entering the match with high ambitions despite the short recovery period. We are ready to face Al Gharafa, even though we only had two days to recover after our last match against them, which presents a physical challenge. However, we are prepared to give our best.”
