Al Bidda upstaged the Qatar U-23 National Team 2-0 in the second round of 2026-2027 season Jetour League at the Lusail Stadium on Monday.

It was Al Bidda’s first win of the league and the first loss for Qatar U-23.

Both teams battled a goalless opening half before Hugo Alba put Al Bidda ahead in the 66th minute.

Qatar U-23 side had a golden chance to equalize in the 79th minute when they were awarded a penalty after Bassam Adel Eid was felled by Al Bidda’s Danylo Udod while breaking into the box from right.

Mohamed Faragalla’s spot kick was however stopped by Al Bidda goalkeeper Ahmed Rashwan, who dived to his right to make the stop.

Cristian Del Bello then delivered a fine free-kick from outside the box in 90+1 minute as Al Bidda went on to win 2-0.
