Lekhwiya head coach Djamel Belmadi has decided to grant his squad six days rest following their 2-1 victory over Qatar Sports Club in round 15 of the Qatar Stars League.

This rest coincides with the AFC U23 Championship, which will be held in Doha from the 12th to the 30th of January 2016. The current QSL champions will resume training next Saturday the 9^th of January to prepare for their upcoming matches.

Lekhwiya are currently in second place in the QSL standings, ahead of todays final round of matches before the three week break.
