The Wolves players have been granted a period of five days rest in order to recuperate after a challenging fixture schedule ahead of the 2014 Gulf Cup of Nations. The tournament is in its 22^nd edition and will be played in the Saudi capital Riyadh from 13th to 26th November.

Al Sadd will have 8 international players missing during this period as the Maroons will try to win their 3^rd Gulf Cup.

The 8 players will depart from Sadd’s custody and will join the national and Olympic teams, they are:

Saad Al Dosari, Ibrahim Majid, Abdul Karim Hassan, Mahdi Ali, Asad Ali, Hassan Haidoos, Muhannad Naim, Musab al-Khadr.

The Maroons have only won the tournament whilst hosting it and will be desperate to win it for the first time on foreign soil.
