<p>Newly promoted Al Wakrah squad is continuing it's training ahead of the 2019-20 QNB Stars League season.</p><p>With Spanish coach Marquez Lopez heading the team training sessions, most players of the squad have joined the first phase of the training.</p><p>In the next phase,. Al Wakrah will head to Turkey for pre-season training from July 24 to August 9.</p><p>Currently the team is busy in fitness drills since July 1 after it bagged promotion to QNB Stars League following top performance in the Second Division last season. </p><p>The backroom staff is assisting players get into the right physical condition before they get ready for match practice during the Turkish part of the trip.</p><p>Al Wakrah will also play three friendly matches in Turkey.</p><p>Al Wakrah, who were demoted prior to last season, will be aiming to deliver strong performances in the 2019-20 season.</p><p>Coach Lopez joined the team in January 2018. He replaced Hassan Ali Sheeb. Since his joining, Al Wakra improved their performances significantly and got promoted to QNB Stars League. </p>
