
Al Sadd recruited Ali Faridoun on loan from Al Shamal till the end of the season.
The striker signed the deal on Thursday in the presence of Al Sadd General Manager Turki Nasser Al Ali.
Faridoun is Al Sadd’s second mid-season signing, after Hamed Ismail who returned from Al Arabi till the end of this season in a bid to strengthen their defence.
Faridoun was glad to have joined Al Sadd.
“Al Sadd are a big side with many achievements to their credit. They’ve triumphed twice in Asia (1988 and 2011) and it’s a great honour for any player to don their colours. That’s why I preferred them to other clubs.This’ll be a crucial stage in my career. I hope to give off my best to this club,” said Faridoun.
The forward joined the team training on Thursday as part of their preparations for the home match against Al Markhiya in Week 12 of the QNB Stars League on 13th January.
