Al Rayyan are preparing in earnest for their Qatar Clasico against Al Sadd on Thursday, 8th February, in Week 16 of the QNB Stars League.

The Lions resumed their training under Danish coach Michael Laudrup on Monday evening after a break following their 3-1 victory over Al Markhiya in Week 15 last Friday.

The team members will have a closed camp at the Torch Doha hotel on Wednesday.

Al Rayyan team manager Medkar Al Shafi said, “The Qatar Clasico is different from other matches and winning it is a matter of pride. We’re ready to put up a strong performance.”

Al Rayyan are third in the QNB Stars League standings with 35 points, four behind leaders Al Duhail and two adrift of Al Sadd.
