The rescheduled match between Al Shamal and El Jaish kicked off at 18:30 at the Shamal stadium.<br />
<br />
Al Shamal were at the bottom of the table going into this game and knew that El Jaish would be one of their toughest opponents of the season thus far.<br />
<br />
Mohammed Muntari put the visitors in front on 7 minutes as the Soldiers took control. But the home side tried admirably and succeeded in keeping it to the one goal before half time arrived.<br />
<br />
In the second half Al Shamal were handed a lifeline when N. Mohammed was shown a red card in the 64th minute. This was the kind of luck the team from the North had lack the whole season yet they couldn’t make the most of it.<br />
<br />
In fact, even though El Jaish were down to ten men they went on to score through their tough and spirited midfielder Mohammed Mathnani in the 78th minute of the match.<br />
<br />
Al Shamal also managed to score but it was too little too late when Said Boutahar scored the penalty in the 90th minute.<br />
<br />
Al Shamal continue to struggle in the QSL and have not yet secured their first victory, this means they are in last place with just 3 points.<br />
<br />
El Jaish continue to try and get their season back on track, they are currently in 6th spot in the Qatar Stars League.
