Al Arabi coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2021-2022 season QNB Stars League Week 7 match against Al Ahli.

“We are about to play an important match against Al Ahli. Our preparations for the match proceeded in a routine manner just as we prepare for any league match. After the pressure of the last few matches, there were some players who needed rest. They are well prepared for the next match now.

“The results in the recent period have been good. We must maintain our desire and enthusiasm and our goal. This is something we always talk about with the players. The next match is important and the most difficult. We do not think about the league in general, but try to put our focus in the immediate match coming up. We always try to get the players motivated. That helps the players get better.

“Our focus is always on the next match. The most important thing now is to focus on the Al Ahli match and how to get the three points. We are ready to play another big match, God willing,” said Younes.

Al Arabi goalkeeper Sataa Al Abbasi said, “We are ready to face Al Ahli. It is an important match for us to establish ourselves and we are determined to get the three points.

“The team returned to winning ways by defeating Al Shamal in the last round. Every match for us is important and, God willing, we will continue to look for three points in every match. That could give the team an advantage to be in the top four.

“It is a great honour to be playing at Al Arabi, alongside quality goalkeepers like Mahmoud Abunada, Loaay Ashoor and Amir Hassan. Our goal is to represent Al Arabi in the best manner possible. My ambition is to win a title with my club, so we could bring joy to our fans.”
