We have to work hard against Qatar SC: Al Ahli coach Macala

Al Ahli coach Milan Macala spoke to the media ahead of their QNB Stars League Week 2 match against Qatar SC.

“The first round is over and we could not take any point from it. And we conceded two goals as well. But we are looking forward. We are ready for this game.

“Qatar SC are serious opponents for us. It was after a long time that they played such a good game, against Al Gharafa in the first round. They look a strong side. So we must be extra careful against them.

“In my opinion, the first round was good. This season’s QNB Stars League is a fantastic field. Many new players were seen in action even though many more warmed the bench.

“The field can only get better as the competition progresses. Also, many new players have to settle into their stride and it takes time for them to gel well with new team-mates, especially in new conditions.

“Playing the first few rounds in air-conditioned stadiums was a good idea. That made playing comfortable for the players.

“We will miss Iranian professional player Mohammed Reda due to his ankle injury,” said Macala.
