Tunisian Oussama set to join Umm Salal
Tunisian Oussama Darragi is to undergo a medical examination at Qatar’s orthopaedic and sports medicine hospital Aspetar before signing for Umm Salal.
The midfielder is to be signed as replacement for Moroccan Youssef Sekour, who parted ways with Umm Salal by mutual consent.
Oussama has great credentials especially with home side Esperance, where he had two stints. He last represented Club Africain.
Meanwhile, Umm Salal are continuing their preparations for the QNB Stars League’s second phase under Egyptian coach Mahmoud Jaber. Ivorian striker Yannick Sagbo has joined the squad, while Maher Yousef, who was sick, is expected to soon hit his straps.
Umm Salal are scheduled to play a friendly against Qatar SC on Monday. The Orange Fortress will also be up against Al Khor on 5th January in another friendly.
Umm Salal are placed fifth with 16 points after 11 matches. They will play Al Kharaitiyat at the Al Khor Stadium on 11th January in the 12th round.
