Statistics from QNB Stars League Week 9
The QNB Stars League resumed after a fortnight-long international break. The five matches in Week 9 saw many interesting statistics and figures, according to STATS, the official statistics and figures provider for the QNB Stars League.
The match between Al Sadd and Al Duhail, which was to be played on Sunday, 21st October, was rescheduled for 11th December in view of Al Sadd’s AFC Champions League second-leg semifinal against Iran’s Persepolis in Tehran.

Al Khor recorded the biggest-margin victory (5-1 over Al Kharaitiyat).

Two penalties were awarded and both were converted, by Al Ahli’s Nigel de Jong during their 3-0 victory over Al Arabi and Al Rayyan’s Rodrigo Tabata during their 1-1 draw against Al Gharafa.
Yellow and red cards
The number of yellow cards was 19. One red card was given, to Hassan Waleed of Al Gharafa.
Al Khor’s Wagner Ferreira was the top scorer of the week with two goals. He scored the third and fifth goals in their 5-1 win over Al Kharaitiyat.
