Pre Match Press Conference - Al Duhail

Al Duhail’s assistant coach Bruno spoke to the media about preparations for their QNB Stars League Round 4 home match versus Al Ahli on Sunday, 15th October.

Bruno noted that Al Ahli had not won a game in the league so far, but that did not reflect on their performance, and that they were strong and improving.

The Portuguese said the team continued to work hard during the break even in the absence of professional players who were on national duty.

“We’re used to this situation (the absence of professional players during the league’s  stoppage period). We always show the same intensity in preparations to attain the best results,” said Bruno.

Bruno indicated that they also took advantage from their QSL Cup fixtures by fielding irregular players who do not get to be a part of the league action.

Asked about the match versus Al Ahli, he said, “Definitely, Al Ahli will go into this match with all their strength knowing Al Duhail are strong opponents.”

He commended team captain Youssef Msakny.

“Msakny is a prominent player and we’re very pleased with his performance with the Tunisian national side as well. He’s another player who can make a big difference,” Bruno added.
