Qatar SC coach Younes Ali spoke to the media ahead of their 2020-21 season QNB Stars League Week 14 match against Al Rayyan.

“Our Week 14 match will not be easy at all, especially as Al Rayyan are a top side team with a strong character. They have a great coach in Laurent Blanc who was brought in recently and he has helped his players improve their performances. But my team is also ready to present the required level that could help us get the three points. After each round, the points battle continues to get more and more important because all teams need them more than ever before.

“The break in between the matches is very short as we are playing four matches in two weeks , including those against Al Sadd, Al Gharafa and Al Rayyan. These are very strong teams requiring double efforts from our players. We must also thank the team’s medical staff for their tireless efforts in helping the players get to their optimal condition. The substitutes in games have also given us very good options and this is an important factor for any team. We hope – in general - that the situation will be better in the coming days.

“The team is ready and the players are feeling enthusiastic before Al Rayyan clash. This positive vibe makes us more positive about future results that have been achieved recently thanks to the concerted efforts of everyone, especially the support of the loyal fans,” said Younes.

Qatar SC player Alex Galvez said, “Our team is in a very good position, especially since we have not lost in the last eight matches and this is what will motivate us to put in more efforts on the pitch. We know that a difficult match awaits us, but it also gives an opportunity to win points and extend the point difference against our rivals.

“Qatar SC are a big team and we have to keep giving our best and we must fight to get more points in all our matches. The team spirit in the group is one of the most important elements, I feel, to achieve positive results. For me, I will continue to do my duty to help my colleagues in achieving success.”
