Al Kharaitiyat to play 4 friendlies during camp

Al Kharaitiyat, who retained their place in the QNB Stars League by beating Al Wakrah in play-off, are scheduled to play four friendly matches during their pre-season camp in Turkey from 1st to 22nd July.

Al Kharaitiyat had an unimpressive campaign, finishing 11th. The Thunders had at one stage stared at relegation and are keen to put up a good showing in the new season.

They recently signed Nassif Al Bayawi as new coach for the coming season. The Tunisian last coached Al Khor, replacing Frenchman Laurent Banide in November, 2017, and guided The Knights to eighth position in this season’s QNB Stars League.

Al Kharaitiyat were coached by Tunisian Ahmad Al Ajlani and then Syrian Yasser Sebaei after the former’s dismissal last season.

Al Bayawi is no stranger to Al Kharaitiyat having assisted Frenchman Bernard Simondi there.

Team manager Turki Aman told QSL Online that technical and physical aspects would be in focus at the camp and the club would soon finalise the list of players for the new season.
