Al Shahania Sports Club is located in the Al Shahania area of Qatar. Founded in the Al Jumailiyah area of Doha in 1996 under the name of Al Nasr, they moved their headquarters to northwest of Doha.
The club later changed its name to Al Shahania to better represent the local area of the club.
Al Shahania first played in the First Division in the 2014-15 season.
