Nabil Maaloul, who replaced Algerian Djamel Belmadi ahead of the 2018-19 season QNB Stars League, has an impressive track record in coaching. He guided his country Tunisia at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Maaloul started his coaching career with Tunisian club Olympique du Kef before being at the helm of Club Africain, CA Bizertin and Esperance, all in his native country. He has also coached the Kuwait national team (2014-17).
He is also an eminent sports analyst on television channels, most notably beIN SPORTS.
Maaloul had an outstanding career as a player as well. He donned the colours of Esperance, Germany’s Hannover 96, Saudi Arabia’s Al Ahli, CA Bizertin and Club Africain besides the Tunisian national team as a midfielder.
